Ghanaian highlife musician, Anokye Supremo is currently on the edge between life and death after a life saving surgery to remove a tumor in his head at the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Mukundapur in India.
This was disclosed on KOFI TV yesterday during an interview with the surgeons. And according to the surgeons, the artiste has been in coma for some days since the operation, but they are hoping he revives as soon as possible.
Anokye Supremo formerly known as Daddy Lumba Jr., began experiencing severe headaches which he initially thought was a migraine. It was later diagnosed that he had a tumor in his head after several tests were run. He then began to feel pains in his left eye which later led to partial blindness.
He was later flown to India for the life saving surgery and during a live interview with the Surgeons at the Rabindranath Tagore International, they explained that the tumor was a very aggressive one and could possibly be cancerous.
“He has a very large tumor involving his eyes. He had no vision and we operated on his eyes. We have done our works and found a large tumor which can, unfortunately, be a cancerous tumor. He is still in the ventilator. And we hope he comes out.” The Surgeon explained.
