Ayawaso West Wuogon By-election turns bloody amidst violent clashes; NDC pull out

Two victims from the clashes that occurred during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections

A series of violent clashes have occurred between members of the opposition NDC and the ruling NPP at  La Bawaleshie. 

These events have disputed the by-election which became necessary after the seat became vacant due to the death of the Honourable Member of Parliament representing the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Emmanual Kyeremanteng Agyarko.

The By-Elections being held at La Bawaleshie took a violent turn as a misunderstanding between members from both parties led to a clash at Abelempke Presby Polling Station.

Six of the men who were hit by bullets and are currently receiving treatment at the Legon hospital. 

In other news, the opposition NDC have pulled out of the by-election, citing irregularities which they feel has compromised the credibility of the election.
