Ghanaian Highlife musician Anokye Supremo, formerly known as Daddy Lumba Jnr. has finally left Ghana for India to undergo a much needed surgery to remove a head tumor that has blurred his vision.
Anokye Supremo began complaining of severe headache somewhere in October but thought it was a migraine and treated it as such.
He said “It started in October and I thought it was migraine. I went to the hospital and was told I had a tumor in my head which has caused an enlargement in my left eye”.
It was disclosed that he will need a GHC 10,000 to undergo a specialist surgery in India and an appeal was made to the public through various media houses including KOFI TV.
Anokye Supremo has been able to raise the amount needed for the surgery and has flown to India where the operation would take place.
Speaking to KOFI TV before his departure, Supremo said he feels better now. And it’s not because of the medication he has been taking but because of the love shown to him by Ghanaians. He also took the opportunity to thank every Ghanaian who has supported him in one way or the other.
