Pastor destroys picture of Jesus, claiming there’s no record of his image

A man of God has destroyed the supposed image of Jesus Christ by throwing it to the ground and stepping on the framed portrait picture.

In a video circulating on social media, the man of God stated that “…and I step on it, to tell you that that is not the picture of Jesus. So don’t have it in your bedrooms and worship it”.

He added that those churches who have hangings of this supposed image of Jesus Christ are practicing colonialism and mental slavery.

“There is no record anywhere in scripture that there was a picture of Jesus Christ. Who told you Jesus is white? Why don’t we also have a black picture to suggest that he’s black?” he reiterated.

Many Christians the world over, especially in orthodox churches, have a supposed “white man” picture of Jesus and another one for his mother Mary, which they usually hang in their church auditoriums. And they mostly turn to these images when praying which many have condemned and described as idol workshop.

It will even be recalled that British actor and comedian, Robert Powell, who acted as Jesus Christ in the 1977 Christian movie, “Jesus Christ of Nazareth” recently came out to tell people to stop worshiping his image because he is not Jesus. According to the actor, he was paid to do a job. So he doesn’t understand why his picture is hanging in churches as Jesus’s image.
