Ghanaian Award Winning rapper Sarkodie known in real life as Michael Owusu Addo is hosting the 6th edition of his Rapperholic Concert in 8 years.
This year’s edition promises to be as exciting as last year’s edition which saw Shatta Wale and Jay Foli emcee the show, and a short performance from UK based Ghanaian comedian Big Shaq.
Sarkodie who was born on the 10th of July, 1985 has chalked a lot of success as an artiste both locally and internationally including the Best International Act Award: Africa accolade at 2012’s BET awards. Let’s also note that he is also the most awarded rapper in Africa.
The SarkCess Music boss started as an underground artiste from a very humble background and went mainstream in 2005. It all began when he gained a lot of attention after winning Adom Fm’s Kasahari level with Dr. Duncan as host. It took another 3-4 years to find his “level” by breaking through with his 2009 banger “Baby”, featuring Mugeez of R2bees.
Sarkodie has 5 albums to his name including Makye in 2009, Rapperholic in 2012, Sarkology in 2013 with an album release in January 2014, Mary in 2015, an album he named after his grandmother and Highest in September of 2017.
One of the high points in Sarkodie’s career when he gave a Speech at the Harvard Business School on the theme “The Art of the Hustle” on the 27th of February, 2016.
The “Illuminati” hitmaker has a degree in Graphic Designing from IPMC and recently got married to his long time girlfriend and baby mama, Tracy on 17th July 2018 in a private marriage ceremony. The couple have a daughter, Adayln Owusu Addo also called Titi.
