The “Mantse” of live performance in Ghana, Samini, delivered an epic stage craft during his own concert over the weekend, Saminifest.
The event which took place at the Osu Oxford Street on Saturday witnessed a dramatic entry from the man representing the Dagaarti land, as he came in amidst a poetry recital, traditional dance and a fire display in an all white ensemble and animal skin hat, probably to signify his recent chieftaincy enskinment.
From his first performance through to his last, it was all entertainment as he treated all and sundry who were present to some of his old tunes including Tempo, Sweet Mistake, Linda, Gyae Hye and Iskoki.
Some artistes also passed by to support the “My Own” hitmaker including Guru, Jupiter, VVIP, Yaa Pono and his “son” Stonebwoy. And judging from how he performed with Samini, it is very clear that the bond between the two men is still growing stronger and stronger.
Samini also used Saminifest 2018 to publicly unveil his seventh album, Untamed.
