President Akuffo Addo in his quest to accomplish the dream of all Ghanaians owning a house or a decent rental accommodation is set to commence the Apolonia City Project this month.
According to him, this project is set to provide about 2,000 affordable homes for the people of Ghana.
” This project is in line with my government’s vision of using an appropriate mix of public policy and public-private investments to deliver quality, affordable social housing and private housing solutions, that meet the need and financial capacity of the ordinary Ghanaian, ” he said.
He stated further that, contractors working in the building project will employ and provide skills training to members of the community as part of their initiative.
The president explained that the sector ministers competent in their various domain, will work with the private partners to address challenges that might emerge to ensure the effective running of the project.
He also advised the private partners to also contribute their part by abiding by the rules and regulations of the sector and the country as a whole.
“I promise the private partners of this project that Ghana will be a great place to do business under my watch,” he said.
