After 21 days of partial lock down of Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi and it’s surrounding communities, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has lifted the lock down effective 20th April, 2020 @ 01:00HRS GMT .
The President lifted this ban during his 7th Address to the nation to update Ghanaians on measures the government is putting in place to help curb the spread of the the dreaded coronavirus disease.
Addressing the nation, the President added that although the ban has been lifted, other restrictions still hold.
They include the closure of the borders and the ban on social gatherings including religious activities, schools, night clubs, drinking bars and political rallies.
The President announced that families of deceased people can go ahead and bury their loved ones at private ceremonies which should not have more than 25 people.
