Abeiku Santana hints of retiring from radio soon

Ghanaian broadcaster, Abeiku Aggrey Santana, has hinted of a decision to bow out from the media circles very soon. 

Known as Gilbert Aggrey in real life, Abeiku Santana revealed that he was quitting media to concentrate on tourism which according to him, is his way of life.

Abeiku made this known as he was being honoured for his outstanding contribution to the Ghanaian media. For his honour, he was given a Lifetime Achievement Award and Media Personality Award at the Pan-African Republic Honorary Awards. The ceremony was held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). 

Receiving the award, Santana thanked the award organizers and added that, “…I am sorry to announce that very soon I will be saying bye bye to the media because I have found a new love which is tourism which is my way of life. Thank so much Pan-African Republic Honorary Awards for appreciating me.”

Abeiku Santana has over two decades of experience in the media space and is recognized as one of Ghana’s most celebrated radio icons. 

He currently works at Okay FM, a subsidiary of the Despite Group of Companies and also manages his Kaya Tours.
