Adam Kwarasey attends Black Stars game against Sào Tomé and Principe


Former Black Stars and Vàleranga FC goalkeeper, Adam Bathia Larsen Kwarasey was spotted in the stands at the Accra Sports Stadium with colleagues, Sulley Muntari and Afriyie Acquah as the team whip Sào Tomé and Principe by 3-1 in the last Group C AFCON qualifiers.

In November 2007, Kwarasey declared to play his international football for Ghana and made his debut for Ghana on 2nd September 2011 in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Swaziland.

Kwarasey was part of Ghana’s 23-man squad for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. He was the team’s first-choice goalkeeper throughout the tournament, as the Black Stars finished in fourth.

He made two appearances for the Black Stars during the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign and on 2 June 2014, Kwarasey was named in Ghana’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil which turned out to be a fiasco.

The former Strømsgodset and Rosenborg goalkeeper was part of the squad that lost to the United States by 2-1 in Natal, Brazil after which he planned to quit playing for the Black Stars
