Kwesi Appiah, head coach of Ghana’s Male Senior National team has named a 30-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament.
Notable names, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari are visibly missing although some people were campaigning for their return to the team.
However, team captain Asamoah Gyan’s name was included in the list although there were earlier reports that he won’t make the list.
Ghana would be going into Egypt 2019 with the hope of getting her 5th continental crown after failing to win it since 1982.
A final 23 man squad will be selected for the competition which kick starts in Egypt on the 21st of June, 2019.
