Akufo Addo Nominates Ministers and their deputies for 6 newly created regions

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has nominated some ministers and their deputies, following the creation of six new administrative regions. 

In a letter to the Speaker of Parliament dated 28th February 2019, and signed by the President himself, the President has nominated 14 persons to be appointed as Regional and Deputy Regional Ministers.

In the new appointments, the Municipal Chief Executive for Sunyani Municipality, Mrs. Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson, is the Minister-designate for the Bono Region and Member of Parliament for Jaman North constituency, Siaka Stevens, has been appointed as her Deputy Minister-designate.

For the Bono East Region, Member of Parliament for Atebubu/Amantin constituency, Kofi Amoakohene, has been appointed the Minister-designate. 

Tano South MP, Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, has also been nominated as the Deputy Minister-designate for the Ahafo Region.

The rest are Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah (MP), Minister designate for the Savannah Region, Hon. Samuel Namliit Boah (MP) as Minister designate for North East Region, Hon. Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu (MP), Minister designate for Western North Region, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah (MP), Minister designate for the Western Region and Mr. Kwasi Owusu Yeboah, Minister designate for Oti Region.
