TV Personality Nana Aba Anamoah has told President Nana Addo to concentrate on fixing Ghana’s ill economy rather than spending time to convince ‘childish’ Asamoah Gyan to return to the Black Stars.

Ghana’s Senior National team captain, Asamoah Gyan, in a press release announced his resignation from the team. With about a month to the AFCON tournament, Asamoah Gyan resigned because the coach has decided to make him the general captain of the team whilst he appoints a tournament captain.

However, Nana Aba who has since described Gyan’s statement as the petulant act of a child, is also not happy about President Nana Addo’s swift intervention in the case.

Asamoah Gyan has made a U-turn and has decided to return to the national team after a conversation with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Meanwhile, Nana Aba believes that the President should attach the same urgency to solving pressing issues in the country as he did to solve an “unnecessary” issue like the retirement of a football player.

Her Tweet reads; “We appreciate the President’s intervention but can he intervene for the many young men and women who have no idea where their next meal will come from? Can the president intervene for homeless Ghanaians? Asamoah Gyan’s decision has no impact on economic growth”.
