Seasoned Broadcast journalist and TV personality Kofi Adomah of Multimedia Group has hinted that he has in his possession a list of 15 radio stations and 6 TV stations which are about to collapse and are up for sale.
See screenshot of Facebook post below;
The list includes media outfits belonging to Bola Ray’s EIB network including GHOne TV and Kasapa FM.
There were glaring indicators of a melt down recently as EIB underwent a retrenchment exercise where it laid off at most 30 staff members, with 10 of those laid off from Kumasi based Ultimate and Abusua FM, in a bid to cut down cost of operations.
EIB Network was established in August of 2014 and has a lot of media outfits under its umbrella namely GHOne TV, Starr FM, Kasapa FM, LIVE FM, Agoo TV, Empire Entertainment and the Daily Heritage Newspaper all stationed in Accra, Ultimate FM and Abusua FM based in Kumasi, Empire FM and Radio 360 in Takoradi and Agoo FM in Nkawkaw.
It looks like the media circle is about to experience its own share of collapses and take-overs.
