A Member of the Division One League Board Mr. Takyi Arhin has said that only emergency committee members can be registered as Directors of Company for Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Reacting to a question during an interview on Happy 98.9 FM, he expressed worries about astute lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning comments that, individuals registered GFA as a private company.
“I don’t know why people have decided to take this issue so serious. It makes some of us have a feeling that some people have personal scores to settle with other people and it is getting too much.”
“Lawyer Foh Amoaning, I respect him a lot, but ever since it became clear that the Justice Dzamefe Committee white paper report will not be implemented, he has never stopped talking. He feels that he has a personal score to settle with somebody, so he is taking things seriously over board. Which company can use the names of all it’s workers to register the company? It is only the directors who can use their names to register a company so I don’t know why he thinks people have used their names to register the GFA, therefore they see it as their personal property.
“He is a lawyer, but my common sense tells me that names of workers are not used to register a company name, it is always the directors. Mind you, application of law is about common sense. I have never lost any argument to any lawyer in Ghana when it comes to laws of the game football, he bragged.
Takyi Arhin, General Manager of Techiman Eleven Wonders lamented that, being a lawyer doesn’t guarantee you that you are epitome of common sense.
