Fabio Gama’s absence in crunch encounter will affect the tempo of the game – Ebenezer Sekyere

Accra Great Olympics defender, Ebenezer Sekyere has acknowledged the qualities of Brazilian sensation, Fabio Gama saying his ineligibility in the clash against Asante Kotoko will affect the quality of play.

The 28-year-old has been suspended for accumulated cards in the matches against Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars, and Berekum Chelsea and is ineligible to feature in the game against the “Dade” lads.

According to Ebenezer Sekyere, the intensity of the game will reduce due to the absence of Fabio Gama, claiming he has a lot of qualities as a player, and his inclusion would raise the tempo of the game.

“I promise a very good and entertaining football but we will score Kotoko. I know scoring Kotoko in the absence of Gama will be an excuse for Kotoko by their teeming supporters.

“The game will be tough, we have watched all their matches played and we are well prepared to meet them and we hope Startimes will telecast the match live for our supporters to watch.

Ebenezer Sekyere wadded into the comparison of the two coaches who will be in the thick of affairs in the dugout on Friday night.

“Mariano Baretto is a master tactician and a good coach but in the premier league, you can’t mention good coaches without mentioning Annor Walker.

Coaches play a role in football but on the field of play, players determine the game,” he concluded.

However, the porcupine warriors have cruised to the top of the league with 34 points with just a point gap difference between them and the “Wonder” club. A win for both clubs determines who maintains the top spot.

The match is scheduled to be played on Friday 16th April 2020 at Accra Sports Stadium.
