GFA has approved ₵12,000 and this becomes times three of what the previous FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi was taking. This astronomical increase came in just less than 2 years in the Period where clubs are complaining of economic hardship in the football circles.
Ex president of the Ghana football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi was the first vice chairman of CAF, President of WAFU Zone B , FIFA council member and owner of Wa All stars was remunerated ₵4,300 (four thousand three hundred) a month but he couldn’t have a sound sleep on that in Ghana.
Interestingly, the current FA president will take five hundred dollars a day as travelling allowance, this when converted to cedis is 20 million old Ghana cedis (₵2,000) in 5 days. Does a graduate even earn this amount in 5 days?
The GFA vice President is taking home GH₵7,000 whiles GFA ExCo Members are taking GH₵4,000 and thus a wide financial gap being left between the head and his executives, the FA boss for the four years will bag GHC 576, 000, the vice will add GHC 336, 0000 to his returns from his other business whiles the Exco doubles their account with an allowance of ￠1,920,000 within the 4 years.
In sumatiom allowances for 12 GFA Executives will amount to 2,832, 000 (2.8 million cedis) for the four year tenure and indeed this is a manifesto fulfillment “creating wealth and igniting passion”.
