Ghana confirms 132 cases of COVID-19 with 4 deaths and 1 recovery

The Ministry of Health has today 26th March 2020 confirmed additional cases of the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Ghana.

These new cases have pushed Ghana’s current count to 132 with 4 deaths so far.

Coronavirus is causing a lot of havoc the world over with European cities and countries, especially Italy being the most affected.

Yesterday, news went viral that one patient had recovered from COVID-19 in a hospital in the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi.

The man, a Chinese national, was seen walking out of the facility after several tests on him confirmed he had fully recovered from the virus.

It is expected that more cases will be confirmed in the next few days and the Government of Ghana will have to take a decision as to whether to declare a nationwide lock down or keep on managing the situation.
