GHANA IS READY FOR THE WOMEN AFRICA CUP OF NATION – SPORTS MINISTER ASSURES

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah has confirmed Ghana’s readiness for hosting the 11th Women Africa Cup of Nations 2018.

Addressing the gathering at the official naming of the tournaments mascot at Alisa hotel, Hon Asiamah mentioned that “Ghana is ready for the tournament come November. Ghana is hosting Africa and indeed the the rest of the world and we are ready for this important tournament.”

Hon Asiamah stated that “Ghana is capable. As we are all aware, last year we hosted 16 nations in West Africa and that was done only in one region that is the Central Region. Let me assure you that Ghana is more than ready for this tournament.”

Isaac Asiamah who is the honorable Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency in the Ashanti Region also tasked the Black Queens of Ghana to not just host the rest of Africa, but win the trophy for the nation.”

“…let me be honest with you, this tournament is about you. So demonstrate a heart of patriotism and nationalism. Ghana is waiting for you get us the gold nothing but the gold”, he added. 

The 11th edition of Women Africa cup of Nation tournament will kick off on the 17th of November and end on the 2nd of December 2018. The tournament will be hosted at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and the Accra Sports Stadium.
