Ghana surpasses 2000 confirmed COVID-19 cases after recording 403 new cases

Ghana has currently surpassed the 2000 mark after recording 403 new cases, taking the count from 1671 to 2074.

The updated figures were posted on the website of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Thursday morning.

Till date, the Greater Accra Region continues to record higher values with 1,795 infections so far; followed by the Ashanti Region with 99 cases. Eastern Region follows closely with 70, Central Region has 21 whilst the Oti and Upper East Regions have 19 each.

Meanwhile, one additional person has died from COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 17.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries have also gone up from 188 to 212. With regards to gender distribution, 62% are male while 38% are female.
