The Italian born Ghanaian chose to represent Italy at the National team level after being abandoned by his biological parents with 3 other siblings in the Brescia, the northern part of Italy.
The Uefa Champions League winner born to Thomas and Rose Barwuah was given the name Mario Kofi Barwuah who grew up in the Sicilian city of Palermo but changed his surname to Mario Ballotelli when he was adopted by Francesco Balotelli.
According to some information available on Wikipedia, first, he stayed with the Balotelli family during the weekdays and returned to his biological parents on weekends and grew up to become a football superstar plying his trade with Inter Milan, AC Milan, Liverpool, Manchester City, and host of other big clubs across Europe.
In a video available on social media, the ‘troublesome’ player is spotted in a video call with his biological parents asking his parents to speak “Twi” with him after mastering the most spoken language in the west African country of Ghana.
“Speak Twi,” he said to his parents who happily asked how he’s faring and encouraged him to push to greater heights in his career as a footballer. He responded by saying “Everything is well and how about you”
