The Honourable Member of Parliament for the Abetifi Constituency in the Eastern Region, Bryan Acheampong has instructed organizers of “Bliss on the Hills” to retrieve a specified amount of money from Shatta Wale else he’ll sue him.
Shatta Wale was scheduled to perform at the 2018 edition of ‘’Bliss On The Hills’’, an annual Christmas event which brings many Ghanaians together at the mountain top to have fun.
The event is a week long one with lots of music and other entertaining activities. However, Shatta Wale failed to make it on stage and caused the Chief Executive Officer of the event Bryan Acheampong to issue an ultimatum for the “Gringo” hitmaker to return the advance payment or proceed to court.
Even though the organizers fulfilled their part of the deal, Shatta Wale got to the event grounds few hours to the programme and made more demands to the surprise of Bryan.
In a later interview, a member of the organizing team who directly brokered the deal with Shatta Wale on the behalf of the “Bliss on the Hills” team confirmed that Shatta Wale was fully paid.
“We paid him and in fact his management team came for the balance in the afternoon of the event day but Shatta Wale refused to show up that same night to perform as agreed. ”
He revealed that Shatta Wale is supposed to refund an amount of Ghc80,000.00 but he has refused to do so in the past 3 months.
