Have you ever imagined how Ghana’s music industry would be without dancehall artistes’ Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy? Maybe your guess is as good as mine; boring.
Well, Shatta Wale has spoken for the first time since Stonebwoy’s live studio interview with King Lagazee on the Yaad Settings on HitzFM 103.9.
In a statement signifying leadership and dominance, Shatta Wale wrote “Mandela came and said South Africa is mine and he took it ..He fought for it & not just for himself , he fought for the people… I AM FOR THE PEOPLE… #yp4thepeople”.
In this post, Shatta Wale is seen, taking the posture of a revolutionary leader who will lay his life down for his people. He is using this post as a strong statement to his critics including fellow dancehall King that all what he is fighting for, is for the masses. Nhyiraba Kojo even lauded the efforts of Shatta Wale recently, in raising the bar above 50K for how much artistes charge per show.
Hate him or love him, Shatta Wale’s name is very likely to go into the history books as someone who fought for the welfare of his colleagues in the industry. Who knows? He might even become the President of Ghana one day.
