Ghana’s dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has stated that he is still with Nana Appiah Mensah’s Zylofon Media eventhough his contract with them has expired.
Zylofon Media signed the ‘Gringo’ hitmaker in a bumper deal in 2018. However, CEO of Zylofon Media and businessman Nana Appiah Mensah got into trouble when one of his companies, Menzgold Gold dealership began having issues with the Bank of Ghana and the Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) concerning their operations.
This affected operations of his other companies including his Media outfit, Zylofon Media. As a result, most of the artistes signed to Zylofon Media began disassociating themselves from Zylofon; notable amongst them was songstress Rebecca Acheampong aka Becca.
That notwithstanding, some of them still stood solidly behind their boss, Nana Appiah Mensah in his trying times. They include Kumi Guitar, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
And during an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, the man who believes in ‘loyalty’, Shatta Wale, has stated that he still sees himself as a Zylofon Media artiste.
It’s obvious that Shatta Wale is making this statement to let Nana Appiah Mensah know how loyal he will remain to Zylofon Media.
