Burniton Music signee Kelvynboy has stated categorically rthat he does not consider himself to be a mainstream artiste.

Known in real life as Kevin Brown, the Afrobeats artiste can boast of some hit songs since he started doing music actively. But unlike other artistes who would rush to trumpet their achievements, the “Toffee” hitmaker feels that calling himself a mainstream artiste would mean he’s taking a step ahead of himself.

Kelvynboy was on the “Uncut” Show with Zionfelix when he said that tagging himself as a mainstream musician now will be more or less a hyperbole. He believes that being described as a mainstream musician in the fierce Ghana music industry is something that does not come easy and as such his belief that there are few things he has to do to attain that status.

The host asked him what he thinks would make him accept the tag as a mainstream artiste, to which he answered that when the time comes, he needs not to tell because people will know.
