I nearly committed suicide after the Number 12 Exposé – Blind Football Historian


The visually impaired sports historian “Bulgaria” has disclosed that he nearly committed suicide when investigative journalist, Ana Aremeyaw Anas exposed former Ghana football Association president Kwasi Nyantatyi in the Number 12. When Greed and Corruption became a Norm in the documentary.

In an interview with Saddick Adams ” The Sports Obama” on Accra based radio station Angel I’m, he narrated how he felt when Mr Nyantakyi was seen in the video implicating himself in a football scandal.

“I nearly committed suicide, despite what has happened to me as a blind person, when my mother and my father passesld away i never thought of committing suicide”.

“Until 6 June 2018 when I heard they
were showing a video and the whole world was talking about Kwasi Nyantakyi. That is the only time I thought of committing suicide” he told Saddick Adams.

The documentary which was premiered on 6 June 2018 sought to highlight the level of corruption in football and among football administrators in Ghana. The former football administrator was captured in the video using President Akufo-Addo’s name to peddle influence.

Kwesi Nyantakyi has since been banned for life from football Governing body FIFA, which prevents him from involving himself with CAF and GFA activities.
