Father of Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Menzgold has granted a radio interview, in which he stated that in due time, he will mention names of top officials who took money amounting to $51 million from his son.
Speaking in an interview on Zylofon FM on 29th January, 2019, the man who was referred to as “chairman” by the presenter stated that he was disgusted by the hypocritical attitude of those people who were beneficiaries of his son’s money.
According to him, these same people have turned round and are now branding him as a bad person since issues between Menzgold and BoG/SEC began.
“These top officials want to make my son the bad person after taking 51 million cedis and sharing it among themselves. I don’t want to mention names now but at the right time, I will do that because I am not afraid of anyone,“ Chairman alleged.
He stated further that “There are some people in there. Some got 10 million dollars. Others got this and that. I know every bank account that a part of the 51 million entered. So many things will happen but I leave it here for now.”
For now, the main focus is how to get money to pay for his son’s release in order for him to organise monies to pay customers of Menzgold.
Responding to reports that his son may return to Ghana next week after being put before a court in Dubai on February 2, NAM1’s father laughed off the claim.
A delegation from Ghana was in Dubai to negotiate a possible handing-over of Nana Appiah Mensah to Ghana to face charges leveled against him including defrauding by false pretense.
In the statement, it was claimed that the delegation had made contact with NAM1 and that he was in custody awaiting to appear in court on February 2 over a fraud case, the outcome of which will determine when NAM1 will come back to Ghana.
But per NAM1’s dads statement, his son did not talk to anybody and the February 2 court date is even a lie because no court will sit on a Saturday in Dubai.
