‘If I don’t win anything at VGMA, I will stop music and continue with my construction business’ – Shatta Wale

Shatta Movement Boss, Shatta Wale has stated emphatically that if he doesn’t win any awards in this year’s VGMA’s, he will stop doing music for good. 

According to the artiste with the largest fandom in Ghana, he won’t see his worth if he doesn’t win any awards after putting in all the hard work. 

He was speaking with George ‘Aboagye’ Quaye on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z where he said ‘if I don’t win anything at VGMA I will stop music and continue with my construction business’.

Shatta Wale has been nominated in 9 categories in this year’s Vodafon Ghana Music Awards. This includes the most prestigious of all, the Artiste of the Year.

Shatta Wale boycotted the awards scheme in 2013 due to some irregularities he identified and only agreed to be part of this year’s awards after meeting with the CEO of Charterhouse Ghana, organizers of the VGMA.
