In recent years in Ghana’s music industry, Shatta wale and Stonebwoy reigned in the Music Industry with the Dancehall genre.
However, the unfortunate happened during the last VGMA’s when Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage at Shatta Wale; they are currently facing the laws for their action. They have since reconciled and made peace.
Now, the rappers specifically Strongman and Medikal have taken over Ghana music industry in the past few days. It is in this vein that Kwaw Kese has happily averred that Dancehall in Ghana is dead and gone.
Kwaw Kese, speaking on the ‘lyrical battle’ between Strongman and Medikal stated that his ‘Dondo’ song is the genesis of their feud. He emphasized that his song has revived the Hiplife genre which was dwarfed by Dancehall.
Kwaw Kese recently stated in an interview on Zylofon FM that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were keeping the dancehall genre alive when they were feuding. Their hype has however settled down since they smoked the peace pipe.
The CEO of Mad Time Records is also of the view that the GH Rap has taken over the music industry. He also hurled insults at lovers of dancehall who won’t accept the bitter truth in a tweet.
All the people insulting are dancehall lovers. Pls dancehall is not coming back to Gh oo. Jamaicans take dema thing back 😂😂😂😂
