Kwaw Kese has been in the system for quiet some time as he is part of the artistes Hammer of “The Last 2” fame discovered. And he made it big when he came out with his first album “Na Ya Tal” and his popular slogan “AboDaammmm” in 2007.
There’s no doubt that he has been in the game for a long time, but it’s a surprise that his product is not on top charts on digital stores just like his fellow “Top artistes” Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy. Or is it because he has retired?
Now, let’s get the facts straight and ask ourselves, when was the last time he released a hit song? When was the last time he produced an album?
Yes, we all recall that he had a recent beef with “Amount” hitmaker Shatta Wale and he produced a diss song “Porkum”. Kwaw Kese then went on a radio and TV tour to promote the diss song. But wait, which A-list artiste does that?
What we know is that underground artistes promote diss songs because they want the attention. So if Kwaw Kese does same, then it obviously means that he’s rocking shoulders with these underground artistes.
And even when he had the beef with Shatta, SM fans told Shatta to leave Kwaw for them because they obviously knew that he wasn’t someone they couldn’t handle. And as big as Kwaw Kese sees himself, he descended into the “gutters” with them; it became a Kwaw Kese versus SM fans battle. He even threatened to beat them because the fans were hitting so hard at him. Now, let me ask this; where were his fans to fight for him?
Now, this brings us to my final point; he has lost his fan base. The Kwaw Ziggy we know no longer has support from the streets as he used to.
With all the above mentioned points, one would be tempted to ask “Has Kwaw Kese retired?”
