Former President and NDC’s presidential candidate for the 2020 general elections has announced a fruitful discussion with party founder, Jerry John Rawlings.
The first president of the 4th Republic, JJ Rawlings, has been a serial critic of John Mahama’s leadership style even though the latter served as a Communications Minister under his Democratic leadership.
It is no secret that ex-president Rawlings’ remarks at NDC’s functions has connoted his dissatisfaction over certain popular decisions of the immediate past president if the Republic.
However, ex-president Maham has paid a courtesy call on Mr. Boom this morning over some critical NDC issues especially with the imminent decision of his running mate in the build-up to the 2020 elections.
Mr Mahama took to Twitter to make the announcement ”I called on @officeofJJR, this morning in his office, to discuss a number of NDC-related issues. Very warm discussions as always.” he tweeted.
It is not clear who will be the next running mate of the NDC but rumours are rife Dr. Bannerman Thompson is the preferred choice to succeed the late Paa Kwesi Ammisah-Arthur.
