Just In: President Akufo-Addo accepts Carlos Ahenkorah’s resignation as Deputy Trade and Industry Minister

The member of Parliament for Tema West, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah has tendered in his resignation as deputy minister for Trade and Industry for breach of Covid-19 protocols.

The resignation comes at the wake of public pressure from politicians and celebrities who believes his actions were uncouth and should have known better.

According to sources, President Nana Akufo-Addo asked the business mogul cum politician to resign from his post or be fired for breaching the Covid-19 protocols and making public pronouncements on his bad conduct.


In a letter signed by the Director if Communications at the presidency, Eugene Arhin, the president has accepted the resignation of the MP and has admonished all his appointees to show leadership by adherring to all the COVID-19 safety protocols.

The president acknowledges that the MP has acted honourable by resigning and wished him.well in his next endeavour.
