A legislator has revealed that the killers of undercover journalist with Tiger Eye PI Ahmed Hussien-Suale have been identified by the police.
The Member of Parliament for Sekondi constituency, Andrew Kofi Agyapa Mercer made this revelation during Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Monday.
Andrew disclosed further that some persons with interest in the case who declined police invitation with the excuse of being outside the country were actually in Ghana.
“Some people told the police they had travelled when in fact they were in Ghana. Do you think the police are joking? He questioned.
Hon Agyapa Mercer added that the police knowing how concerned the international community is in the matter, will work tirelessly until the perpetrators are brought to book.
“Even the people who committed the crime have been identified and I’m more than definite that the police will get to the bottom of the matter” he opined.
The assassination of Ahmed Hussein-Suale has been linked heavily with a public display of his picture on live TV by Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central in the Central Region. The controversial MP displayed pictures of Ahmed on his television station Net2 TV and on social media after the premiere of Number 12, a documentary which exposed extensive rot in Ghana football.
Ahmed had left his family house to go take care of his sick child Wednesday evening when he was attacked by two gunmen and shot at close range three times.
