Latter Day Saints Church to refund 3 years Tithes to tithe-paying members in the midst of COVID-19 hardship

The Coronavirus disease has caused a lot of havoc since it emerged out of Wuhan, a province in China.

The havoc has brought the world to a standstill, resulting in the slowing of businesses and services; a lot of people have lost their source of livelihood.

And in the midst of this hard times, some churches continue to stifle church members for their tithes and offerings even though many are expecting the Churches to do more for their members. These same members have donated a lot to support their church’s various projects.

However, most of these churches have failed to live up to expectation in times when their members need them most; they still chase these suffering members for Tithes and Offerings.

One church is blazing the trial as the a letter has hit social media showing the Church of Latter-Day Saints seeking to initiate steps to refund all Tithes paid by its members and former members from 2017 to date. This is being done in a bid to cushion them as they go through economic hardships.

The letter dated May 3 2020, was addressed to the General Authorities and all Priests in all countries where the Church of the Latter Day Saints are, instructing that they refund tithes to all eligible persons who so request.
