Mediocrity: Stonebwoy’s jubilation over “Kpo Keke” song played in church is childish

A video surfaced online 3 days ago in which Stonebwoy’s popular hit song “Kpo Keke” was played in a church.

In the video, the church members went gay immediately the song began playing. You could see some excited congregants, mostly youth jumping to the open space in front of the pulpit to shake their bodies real well.

Some social media commentators condemned the act by the Pastor for allowing the song to be played in his church. They felt that since the song is not gospel, it should not have been played in church.

And then, Efo 800 comes out to do a video, telling all those who criticized the pastor’s act not to judge him because his song “makes more sense than most gospel songs in Ghana”. Well, Stonebwoy is entitled to his opinion just as a everyone else is.

Now, my main concern is the excitement and happiness showing on Stonebwoy’s face during the video. And it was because his song was played in church. He began the video by saying “the other day, I saw a video of my “Kpo Keke” played in a church and the energy was amazing. And it gives me a lot of joy to be the creator of such beautiful musical pieces for your consumption”.

Really? C’mon Stonebwoy, please hol’up. Your song makes it to church just once and you announce it to the world? Please get serious.

I’ve heard and seen your greatest contender, Shatta Wale’s song played in church severally by popular pastors in Ghana and I don’t recollect seeing him come out like this.

Stonebwoy’s posture looks more to me like a “toddler who gets excited after being allowed to make a operate a phone for the first time; something his parents have been doing for a long time”.

Shatta Wale has always and will continue to be a pacesetter in this music industry because he is the dancehall King, the Saviour extraordinaire, PERIOD!!!
