Zylofon Media signee and dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has assured Ghanaians that the woes of Zylofon Media’s sister company, Menzgold, has not affected his brand in any way.
Stonebwoy, after signing to Nana Appiah Mensah’s Zylofon Media outfit, became an ambassador for Menzgold including other A-list celebs. But in the wake of Menzgold’s troubles with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Economic And Organised Crime Office (EOCO), these celebs have come under fire with fears that the scandal could dent their brands.
But in a confident posture, Stonebwoy his brand is still intact. He said “My brand is clean, it has not been affected in any way. Yes I was once an ambassador and endorsed Menzgold dealings so it is fine if people are worried but my brand is ok”.
He was speaking at the press launch of his Independence Concert which is slated for the 5th of March, 2019.
The award winning artiste also reacted to the suspension of Menzgold’s operations. He said “it’s unfortunate but the laws also have to work. Let us not forget that before all this, they (Menzgold) were in business for long and were paying people.
“Again some of these people complaining may have been paid their dividends and may have even recouped their initial deposit but it is unfortunate.”
He added that his love and respect for Menzgold and Zylofon Media CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) has not dwindled one bit.
“I will always respect him for the kind of person he is and what his plans were for the industry. My contract with them elapses in two months time and we go our separate ways, I move on and do my business and that’s it.”
