Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, National Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rendered an unqualified apologized to listeners of Accra-based radio station Asempa FM and Ghanaians.
His apology comes in the wake of a video that has gone viral, in which an altercation occurred between himself and the National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday, 1 February 2019 during the late afternoon political talk show, Ekosii Sen in the studios of Asempa FM.
In his statement, he urged Sammy Gyamfi who he described as his “junior brother” to be respectful during public utterances.

APOLOGY TO ASEMPA FM LISTENERS AND GHANAIANS
I refer to the events which took place yesterday on Asempa FM’s Political Talk Show, ‘Ekosii Sen’.
Regardless of the repulsive, provocative conduct by the NDC’s National Communication Director on the show, which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I am, upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded.
I wish to assure all that I remain committed to decent, issue-based discourse on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not be repeated.
I will also encourage my junior brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements, and, to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.
Henry Nana Boakye
National Youth Organiser, New Patriotic Party.
Meanwhile, the youth wing of the NDC has given the police a 24-hour ultimatum to arrest Nana B or face their wrath.
