Ghana’s first gentleman, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is currently the toast of town as his outfit during the coronation of the overlord of the Dagbon Traditional Area is making headlines.
The President who served as the peacemaker on a long standing tussle between the Abudus and Andanis joined the ceremony today. But in a bid to identify with the people from the North, the President dressed like a Northern Chief by wearing a beautiful batakari (Traditional dress) with a red Wellington boot to match. He however did not have his headgear on, which would have completed his chiefly appearance.
Many have trolled the President for his “unusual” choice of dressing for the occasion including NDC MP for Ningo-Prampram Constituency who took to Facebook to post a red Wellington boot on his wall.
Sam Dzata George captioned the picture “if you know, you know”.
