                  Abdul Salam Yakubu

Owner and bank roller of New Edubiase Football Club, Abdul Salam Yakubu has reiterated in an interview that his club will not take part in the  special competition organized by the Dr. Kofi Amoah led GFA-Normalization Committee.

He made this revelation during an interview with Kwadwo Mensah Moshoosho on Multimedia radio station Asempa 94.7 FM, and stated catergerically that his club (New Edubiase Football Club) will not participate in the competition.

When asked where they will play their home matches, he said “from the beginning, I said New Edubiase will not participate in this competition so anything hasn’t changed. When we had our meeting, we insisted we won’t  take part in any competition so we are not part of this tournament. We still  stand by our position.”

“I explained everything to you in our previous interviews. My explanation is simple, we were playing a league, but as at now, no one has communicated anything to me concerning the league”.

“Secondly, when we were about to start the league, we went to congress. If they think we can’t continue, we have to go back to congress and an official letter has to be issued to me or to all the clubs so that copies are placed on club’s files for every club to be aware that the league is now null and void”.
