Former radio host and MP for Tamale Central, Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini has admonished Ghanaians to punish the NPP for exposing the masses to the dreaded coronavirus by opening a new voters’ register.
According to the member of parliament, the new voters’ register is needless and will become frustrating and risky because of the COVID-19 pandemic which has killed millions of people worldwide.
“The process of the needless registration will get frustrating & even risky at times b’cos of Covid. When it does, we must remember who to punish for putting us through this with the new Voters ID we will acquire. It’s a civic duty. #PossibleTogether” he posted.
However, the Supreme Court presided by the Chief Justice, His Lordship Anin-Yeboah quashed NDC’s challenge of the CI 126 which makes the National ID and Ghanaian passport as the only legal identification documents for registering people in the new voters’ register.
The instructive decision of the apex court has left the NDC with no other option than to adhere and encourage their supporters to go out in numbers to register and vote massively against the ruling government.
