Normalization Committee got it all wrong; they needed to consult various stakeholders before briefing the media – CEO of Ashanti Gold FC

   Frederick Acheampong (CEO- AshGold SC)

Chief Executive Officer of Premier League side AshGold SC, Frederick Acheampong has suggested that the Normalization Committee should have consulted the various stakeholders of Ghana football before organizing their press conference.

He was speaking on the Sports Nite show on Accra based Asempa 94.7 FM and stated that “…indeed, I felt that the Normalization Committee should have met the members of the Football Association, in the form of a consultation or extraordinarily congress. Based on what they discuss, they will then brief the media.”

When asked whether the Normalization Committee could normalize Ghana football, he said “I don’t know where they have been getting their consultations from because they will have to reconsider some of the steps they’ve taken so far.”

“I heard them saying, they will review the status of the FA. Four people can’t do that. You need to call an extraordinary Congress. And if they agree to make changes, which portions are they reviewing? Every activity of the FA must be approved by Congress”. he added.

The Normalization Committee has been given up to the 19th of March, 2019 to run off their mandate by FIFA.
