The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have officially announced Egypt as the host for the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament after their executive meeting in Dakar, ahead of the 2018 CAF Awards tonight.

Egypt got the right ahead of South Africa who were also vying to host the tournament whose initial hosts, Cameroon were stripped of the right last year due to delays in preparation of infrastructure and security concerns.
