On the back of the mega publicizing and subsequent criticism of the ban on Ghanaian celebrities from promoting alcoholic beverages, Shatta Wale has revealed that only one artiste was ready to join him demonstrate against the FDA.
Speaking on Onua 95.1 FM earlier today, the African Dancehall King Shatta Wale disclosed that after he declared war on the FDA for their nonsensical ban and called on his colleagues to join forces and fight the ban since it will benefit all of them, only one artiste, a female was willing to join the demonstration.
And she is RuffTown Records signee Wendy Shay. The Queen of Ghana music began her own public outcry and made the whole issue publicly known.
The rest, according to Shatta Wale say aloof without showing concern about the whole issue.
He said; “Only Wendy Shay was ready for the demonstration against the FDA ban; the rest just didn’t mind me”.
It will be recalled that some Ghanaian celebrities took to social media to vent their displeasure at the FDA’s ban on celebrities from advertising or endorsing alcoholic beverages after a Ghanaian brand Adonko Bitters paid some Nigerian celebrities a huge sum of money for their activation in Nigeria.
Their reason being that they want to protect minors who look up to these celebrities.
