The Otumfuo Charity Foundation has embarked on a project dubbed “One Story Book One Dictionary”, a project aimed at promoting reading and learning among basic school students, especially JHS students in the Ashanti Region.
The project afforded JHS students of Jachie, a suburb in the Ashanti Region, the opportunity to receive books which will help promote learning whilst they remain at home.
The President closed down schools in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country to curb community spread.
And for the past 3 months, schools have been closed down.
It was only recently that some school began e-learning to help keep the brains of their students active.
The donation by the Otumfuo Charity Foundation was announced on the official Facebook page of Manhyia Palace.
The post reads; “One Story Book One Dictionary Project”. JHS students of Jachie received books in a bid to promote reading and learning whilst at home as schools remain closed #OtumfuoCharityFoundation…#SupportBasicEducation”.
