From news reaching societywatch.net, the Ghanaian delegation that went to Dubai to negotiate the expedition of embattled CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah to Ghana were not able to achieve their purpose, as NAM 1 is not coming to Ghana until the Dubai authorities are done with him.
The Ghana Police Service and the Economic and Organised Crime Office in a joint press statement stated that Nana Appiah Mensah is currently facing misdemeanor charges in Dubai, and will only be brought to Ghana if he is cleared of all the charges levelled against him. The joint statement stated that NAM1’s next court hearing is on February 2, 2019.
“It is the understanding of the Ghanaian delegation that Mr. Mensah faces misdemeanour charges in the UAE and will be made available to Ghana upon the final determination of his current matter in the UAE. His case is next due for court on February 2, 2019” the statement read.
The statement which was signed by the Director General of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police service, ACP David Eklu also revealed that NAM1 has been engaged by the Ghanaian delegation made up of security and legal officers who were sent to Dubai to follow up on his arrest warrant after news broke that he had been arrested by the Dubai Police.
He has also provided an extensive statement to the security agencies which will be used for investigations into claims of fraud levelled against him by Ghanaians who invested with Menzgold.
Many customers of Menzgold are unable to retrieve their dividend and principal investments, and some have gone to court to seek redress.
