Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has confirmed his membership in the Freemason society, during the launch of a book titled “The Freemasons”.
Otumfuo mentioned that Freemason is a way of life and a society which is guided by some principles and tenets.
“I am a proud Freemason and I confirm that the principles and tenets of Freemasonry that we are taught in the Lodge, especially in the areas of governance and accountability have always stood me in good stead in my daily functions as Asantehene,” Otumfour Osei Tutu mentioned.
The book was launched by the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ghana, Kwadjo Adunkwa Butah.
The author of the book, Brother Gyesie is a Pharmacist and Health Development Consultant, who has served as a member of the Steering Committee for the formation of the Grand Lodge of Ghana.
He is a Masonic student, researcher, teacher and a prolific writer on matters relating to Freemasonry.
The Freemason Club is said to be a club that promotes charity, integrity, honesty and fairness.
It is also known as a club that grooms young men to be responsible adults.
