Randy Abbey lifts lid on rapport with Karim Zito in U-20 AFCON triumph in Mauritania

social cutive Council member of the Ghana Football Association and Chairman of the U-20 Black Satellites management committee, Randy Abbey has attributed Ghana’s triumph to the conducive rapport he had with the head coach of the side, Abdul Karim Zito.

The Black Satellites conquered the U-20 division of Africa in March winning its fourth AFCON trophy after a 2-0 win over Uganda in the finals of the competition held in Mauritania.

Speaking in an interview with Takoradi radio outlet, Westgold FM, the astute football administrator said:

“There was no mistrust between us.  My relationship with him dates back and I still trust and believe he’s a top top coach.”

He further said ” Zito at one point jokingly called Kurt to inform him that he’s no longer going to be the technical head because he truly felt my impact”.

Karim Zito was retained as head coach of the Satellites in the recent shake of national team coaches.
