It seems Ghanaian rapper and Best International Flow winner at the 2019 BET Hiphop Awards, Sarkodie, warned lecturers to desist from demanding s*x for grades in one song he released years ago.
In the tracks released in 2015 and titled ‘Hand to Mouth’, the rapper explained how he had suffered and was now enjoying the fruit of his labor.
However in one line, he zoomed in on some negative attitudes which has crept into our society today.
The line reads; “Lecturer, ye adwuma na aban betua; w’akatua no, ennhye nkwadaa no ayaase”. Transliterating the verse, it says; “Lecturer, work; the government will pay you. Your salary doesn’t reside in the groin of your students”.
