Sell the Cape Coast and Elmina Castles to me let me show you how tourism is done – Hon. Kennedy Agyapong

Ghanaian businessman who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honorable Kennedy Akompreko Agyapong has asked the Regional House of Chiefs to sell two of Ghana’s biggest castles to him.

The controversial law maker explained that he is ever ready to take tourism in Ghana to a new level; that is if the good people of the Central Region sell the Cape Coast and the Elmina castles to him.

He bemoaned the neglect of these two national assets to the detriment of tourism in Ghana. “…instead of Ghanaians to make good use of these two castles which can bring tourists into our country, the castles have been neglected to collapse which is going against our tourist industry”, he stated.

He has therefore asked the chiefs to sell the castles to him and watch how he will recoup revenue to the benefits of people in the Central Region.
