Former Asante Kotoko forward Saddick Adams has encouraged his colleague footballers to ignore critics who try discouraging them from signing for clubs in countries that are not really known as Football Nations.
In a post on Facebook, the footballer explained that “even the best players playing the best leagues around the world who have already made the money still move to China all because of the same money”.
However, he doesn’t understand why when African players are moving to other neighboring African countries, he hears people saying that those countries are not football countries.
In an angry posture, he quizzed “…which country invented football (soccer) so we can all move there”.
Saddick Adams has asked his colleagues not to allow such negative comments to influence their career decisions as they’ve got a family to take care of.
“This life is all about taking risks, when it works for you, they’ll celebrate with you but if it doesn’t, you carry your own cross”, he advised.
